Do Something Meaningful

Do you want to do something meaningful after school is out?  Want to help orphans receive the basic necessities of life?  Want to go and spend time in Haiti?

If your answers are yes, we NEED your help May 13-22, 2011.  We are looking for anyone who is interested in forgetting about themselves for 10 days to help "our neighbors."  (Yes, I know technically Haiti is not our direct neighbor, but you get what I mean!)  Anyone willing and able to pitch in and volunteer their time and resources contact us via email robyn.statum@aggiemail.usu.edu! 

This trip is going to be AWESOME!  Can't wait to help those that need some extra helping hands!  Mind you, this is not a vacation.  We aren't staying at the Hilton, but we will be staying with either local families (in groups of course) or at the orphange itself.  Spending time with local families and the children will far out weigh any experience you might have at the Hilton.

Chili's Give Back Night

Man, I really wish I could figure out how to insert the very cool flyer that Chili's did for their Give Back Night.  A HUGE thanks to Chili's for being sooo supportive of our trip.  We couldn't do it without their help!

Here is the 411:

Chili's will donate 10% of sales brought in if you mention or bring a flyer to the Chili's in Logan.  You can dine in or out.  Just mention the Utah State Team going to Haiti!

When: Monday, February 7, 2011

Where: Chili's Logan Utah

Time: 3pm to 10:30pm

"Let's Get It Started"

Let’s get this started people!  Utah State University is helping Charity Anywhere raise $12,000 to help an orphanage in Port de Prince, Haiti.  In May we are taking anyone that wants to go with us to Haiti.  We will be traveling May 13-22^nd.  We will be helping with construction, hygiene, upkeep, and other basic necessities that might be needed.

As of right now we have raised $5!  Thanks Trevor!  We can not reach our goal without your help.  You can either donate time, merchandise (if you’re a company wanting to help, which we STRONGLY encourage), or money.  To be absolutely honest, we will accept just about any donation!  We are so excited to help those that are in need!!

If you are interested in making a donation, follow these simple steps:

1.    To Donate go to www.charityanywhere.org

2.    Click on "Donate Now"

3.    Click on "Donate" (I know this is redundant, but it will get you to the right place!)

4.    Click on "Donate Securely" Then enter the amount that you wish to donate. In the comments section put "This is for the Utah State trip to Haiti in May 2011."

5.      Click on "Donate" and then you will be directed to a secure site to proceed with your donation. You will receive a receipt from Charity Anywhere for your donation!"
